About us.
Sunrise Electric is a local small business run by husband-and-wife team Ely and Lee. We have lived in the West for decades, and after years of visiting and loving New Mexico, we finally relocated to Albuquerque in 2024. Since then, we have been enjoying all the opportunities for family adventure in the shadow of the Sandias.
One of our favorite things about New Mexico is how diversity is treated as a strength, and that is especially noticeable in the variety of holidays and traditions on display. After experiencing the uniquely bright winter seasons in the Land of Enchantment, and marveling at the amount of holiday displays, we knew that our New Mexico neighbors would love the service we offer.
Ely Lara
Electrician and Operator
Ely is a licensed and bonded journeyman electrician with 8 years of experience in both residential and commercial. He also has more than a decade of experience in custom home and log cabin construction. He has worked as an electrician in Utah, Idaho, and New Mexico, and has experience with homes listed on the National Register of Historic Places. In his free time, he loves to learn languages, cook Puerto Rican food, and ride bikes with his daughter.
Lee Ferrin
Owner and Administrator
Lee has decades of experience in office management and customer service with local governments and non-profit organizations. She has worked for Scouting America as well as universities in both Utah and New Mexico. In her free time she reads at an alarming rate, plays the mandolin, teaches free English and Spanish classes in the community, and enjoys spending time in the outdoors.
