About us.
Sunrise Electric is a local small business run by husband-and-wife team Ely and Lee. We have lived in the West for decades, and after years of visiting and loving New Mexico, we finally relocated to Albuquerque in 2024. Since then, we have been enjoying all the opportunities for family adventure in the shadow of the Sandias.
One of our favorite things about New Mexico is how diversity is treated as a strength, and that is especially noticeable in the variety of holidays and traditions on display. After experiencing a uniquely bright winter season and marveling at the amount of holiday displays, we knew that our New Mexico neighbors would love the service we offer.
Ely Lara
Electrician and Owner
Ely has 7 years of experience as a residential and commercial electrician, as well as more than a decade of experience in custom home and log cabin construction. He has worked as an electrician in Utah, Idaho, and New Mexico, and has experience with homes listed on the National Register of Historic Places. In his free time, he loves to learn languages, cook Puerto Rican food, and ride bikes with his daughter.
Lee Ferrin
Customer Service and Co-Owner
Lee has decades of experience in office management and customer service with local governments and non-profit organizations. She has worked for Scouting America as well as universities in both Utah and New Mexico. In her free time she reads at an alarming rate, plays the mandolin, and enjoys spending time in the outdoors.
